This guide is a summary based on over twenty years of experience in teaching research methods, epidemiology, scientific writing, and academic writing courses; serving as an editor and reviewer; and authoring over a hundred scientific publications. I decided to share this accumulated knowledge openly and freely, in hopes that it may serve as a helpful roadmap for those who are beginning their research journey or seeking to improve their writing skills.
